Amanda is passionate about helping people and organizations move towards their potential. She is known for deep listening and extraordinary empathy as well as her creative approach to assisting her clients. She works collaboratively to support the organization’s style and approach, so that they can discover their own answers. Amanda engages with people in their search for what matters to them and supports individuals in finding the courage and commitment to move forward into new behaviors and situations. She assists groups in finding inclusive, collaborative ways of being and working together.  Amanda's warm personal style and empathetic listening invite clients to share at deeper levels. Amanda's observations on communication and behavioral patterns help unlock key understandings. Through discussion of past, present and future, clients discover why and when they are repeating certain behaviors.  This allows the coach-client pair to design practices for the client to move into more effective ways of interaction.  Clients begin to make different choices which can often allow them to better overcome obstacles and achieve better results.


Experience

In addition to her coaching experience, Amanda has over 15 years of experience in special projects and change management, mostly focused in Marketing, Communications and Strategy.  She has held internal and external consulting roles, and has experience in learning and development, organizational development and communications. This allows her to understand various learning and organizational styles and is useful in helping clients design, create or facilitate trainings and offsites. Amanda's experiences in management, strategy, and organizational change consulting allow her understand individuals who work on different project teams and/or work as external consultants or staff.  


However, Amanda's years as an internal manager at firms such as IBM, Fidelity, Microsoft, and Talbots often make the most difference to her clients.  Clients appreciate that Amanda has been there, and can relate to their situations.  She has worked and consulted in a variety of sectors, including Technology, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Non-profits, Financial Services and Education. During her time at Microsoft and IBM Amanda worked with customers within various branches of the US government.  Amanda has significant experience working with nonprofits and their boards.  Amanda has expertise in recognizing, adjusting to, and navigating various cultural norms, and has significant international experience.  

Amanda is certified in many tools and assessments and is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).  She has taught and facilitated around the globe and is a guest lecturer on the People side of Mergers & Acquisitions at Bentley University. Amanda's thesis focused on leadership transfer.
